Legal Counsel – Property/Commercial

KBE Legal Talent has been briefed by a highly regarded organisation in the aged care and health sector that is going through a growth phase with a clear and active acquisition plan. We are looking to speak with property/commercial lawyers who are motivated by a position offering variety.

About the role:

Work within a service-driven and highly regulated sector. Our client has a long-standing presence and strong reputation for delivering quality outcomes, and the business is currently in an exciting phase of transition and growth.

In this role you will focus on property and commercial matters and be given the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skill set supporting other areas within the business, while working closely with a supportive General Counsel and advise the wider business.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Providing advice and assisting with land acquisitions, disposals, leasing arrangements, including formal sale agreements, managing satisfaction of condition precedents and completion, reviewing and commenting on commercial leases, development agreements and subscription agreements.

  • Assisting with acquisition activity including advising on heads of agreements, non-disclosure agreements, due diligence and reviewing and negotiating business and share sale agreements and JV agreements.

  • Opportunity to grow your skillset by assisting the business, alongside the General Counsel on a range of general commercial contracts, agreements, procurement, construction and HR/workplace matters as required.

  • Supporting the Company Secretary as required.

Who we’re looking for:

We would like to speak with property/commercial lawyers with 3-5 years’ PAE, with experience working in mid/top-tier firms or a similar in-house environment. You will ideally have advised organisations in the health/aged care industry, higher education providers or other similar organisations.
