Legal Manager - Australian Minerals Company

Join this mining company who are executing an accelerated growth strategy, fast tracking toward production with a goal of becoming a key supplier in the global clean energy market. 

As they continue with rapid business expansion, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Manager to provide hands on leadership for the business on its flagship project throughout its lifecycle.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating key project agreements, including procurement, construction, infrastructure and services contracts.

• Providing legal support across approvals processes, mining tenure, land access, Native Title matters and assisting with documentation, negotiations and compliance requirements.

• Assisting with corporate legal matters, governance frameworks and compliance obligations, including policy development, regulatory requirements, and supporting the company secretarial function.

• Acting as the central legal point of coordination, managing external advisors and coordinating with legal counsel as required.

• Overseeing regulatory compliance, including adherence to mining legislation, engagement with government authorities on regulatory matters, and the development and implementation of internal compliance policies. 

Who we’re looking for:

We would like to speak with lawyers with 10-15+ years’ PAE with exceptional commercial acumen. You’ll ideally bring experience in projects, mining, infrastructure or major capital developments.

You'll have a hands-on approach, actively engaging in operational matters to drive initiatives across the organisation while collaborating closely with senior management to meet the company’s legal needs while achieving its business goals.
