A leading global critical materials company, with established overseas operations and a strong pipeline of heavy mineral sands and rare earth development projects, is entering a new phase of growth.

With the company looking to bring several of these development projects online and execute its strategy to build an integrated rare earth supply chain from ‘mines to metals and alloys’, the business is now seeking a Legal Manager with 8-12 years’ PAE to join the company.

This position presents the opportunity to step into a role that offers autonomy, while still benefitting from the guidance and support of a highly experienced General Manager of Legal and a close-knit legal team.  You will become a valued advisor to the business, trusted to run your own matters, shape legal outcomes, and build strong relationships.

As a key advisor, you will work alongside the General Manager of Legal and engage directly with senior stakeholders across the business.

With no two days being the same, you will carry out a wide range of legal work including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and advising on construction and services contracts.

  • Drafting, reviewing and advising on other contracts, such as mining-related contracts and employment, offtake and property contracts.

  • Advising on applicable legislative requirements.

  • Assisting with the development and roll-out of legal-related policies and procedures. 

  • Assisting with business development opportunities.

  • Assisting with the execution of the company secretarial function.

  • Assisting with legal disputes from time to time.

  • Providing general advice across the business as needed.

We want to speak to driven lawyers with 8-12 years’ experience with either a front-end construction, projects, corporate, mining or resources background gained in a market leading top-tier law firm or an in-house team.
