In-house Counsel
Join a not-for-profit that values professionalism, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence
Advise and work closely with the executive and senior stakeholders
Enjoy flexibility, including WFH and flexible start/finish times
KBE Legal Talent has been briefed by a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation. We are looking to speak with Senior In-house Counsel who are seeking a challenging feel-good role with no two days the same.
About the role:
This is a broad role leading the organisation’s in-house legal and commercial functions. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver clear, pragmatic and solutions-focused advice, while building strong relationships across the organisation.
This is a true generalist role, suited to a commercially astute lawyer who enjoys variety and is comfortable working across multiple disciplines and turning their hand to new tasks as required.
Your key responsibilities may include:
Providing legal advice across commercial, employment/HR, corporate, property, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, supplier contracts and property contracts.
Advising on employment and industrial relations issues and negotiations, while managing complex industrial matters with a focus on risk and compliance.
Managing external legal counsel, including briefing, oversight, and cost management.
Advising on governance and board obligations, providing company secretarial support, and driving risk and continuous improvement.
Who we’re looking for:
We would like to speak with commercial lawyers with 8-14+ years’ PAE, with experience working in mid/top-tier firms, leading boutique firms or a similar generalist in-house environment. You will have a strong commercial mindset with the ability to deliver clear, strategic advice, work with full autonomy and have the ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally. Experience in HR/employment law is desirable, but not essential.
What are some of the benefits?
Work with an organisation that is truly making a difference and see the direct impact of your work.
Flexible working arrangements, including adjustable start/finish times and WFH.
Generous annual leave entitlements, plus additional corporate, health and wellbeing initiatives.
High level of autonomy, supported by a collaborative executive team.
