Senior Legal Counsel - Employment / Industrial Relations

One of Australia’s highest profile companies is looking to secure an exceptional Employment / Industrial Relations lawyer with 5-12 years’ PAE to become part of a rapidly growing and high performing in-house legal team.   

Join one of the most exciting companies in Australia and work closely with the General Counsel, senior lawyers and the wider team to support iconic entities with quality legal advice.

The role will see you providing pragmatic legal advice across employment law, workplace relations, and industrial advice across this high-profile company’s multiple entities and could include some or all of the following:

• Providing employment relations advice to all levels of management

• Unifying and implementing Employee Relations policies and practices

• Implement systems and projects to increase efficiency, management flexibility, cost efficiency

• Enhance competitiveness in commercial contracts

• Evaluating and balancing commercial risks and opportunities within legal frameworks

• Advising on and managing workplace matters and investigations including in conciliations at the Fair Work Commission and state and federal employment regulator enquiries

• Collect, analyse and report on Employee Relations data

• Managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Given the calibre of this organisation, this role requires a driven, energetic and commercially astute lawyers with 5-12 years’ PAE, with experience from a prominent top-tier or national law firm, or in-house team and who are seeking interesting and challenging work.
