In-house Counsel - Progressive Software Company

Due to continued growth, our client, a software company working with tier-one clients, has an opportunity in their team for a commercial In-house Counsel with a passion for tech and smart business, and who will be a contributing member of the senior leadership team.

This hands-on, strategic position will see you work closely with stakeholders across the business, and play a key role in embedding legal excellence across the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading commercial contract negotiations with tier-one clients and key vendors

• Drafting and reviewing client agreements, vendor contracts, and standard terms

• Providing pragmatic legal advice across the business

• Collaboration with sales, procurement, and finance to support business outcomes

• Contributing to strategic legal decisions as part of the senior leadership team

We would like to speak to lawyers with 5-15+ years’ PAE in commercial law, ideally with experience in tech and/or SaaS.

You’ll bring sharp contract negotiation and drafting skills, a legal operations mindset, and a proactive, solutions-driven approach.

Experience with legal tech platforms, IP, data privacy, or software licensing is a bonus.

This full-time role offers the flexibility to be completed over 4 days per week for senior lawyers with the right depth of experience and capability.
