About the Opportunity 

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll support the business’ continued and significant growth and will be working within a tight knit supportive legal team where you’ll take ownership of your matters with support as needed. You will provide expert legal advice in relation to Native Title, cultural heritage, approvals, and related commercial matters. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing legal advice on Native Title, cultural heritage agreements, E&P, safety incidents, and project approvals. 

  • Managing and negotiating Indigenous Land Use Agreements and cultural heritage management plans. 

  • Delivering general legal support for project approvals, access agreements, and operational safety matters. 

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of best practices, policy positions, and precedent contracts. 

  • Advising senior management and overseeing external legal providers. 

About You  

This position would suit a senior lawyer with 8-10+ years’ PAE with experience in Native Title, cultural heritage, land access or approvals, gained either within a law firm or in-house.
