Rare and exciting opportunity for a seasoned litigation lawyer to join a highly respected Australian-based charity in a newly created in-house role.
This organisation is dedicated to driving strategic litigation, advocacy, and shareholder action to protect the natural environment. While the charity’s mission may be environmental, at its core the legal work involved is complex, high stakes corporate and commercial litigation.
About the Opportunity
Based in Perth, you will be working closely with the organisation’s outstanding General Counsel, as well as external firms and counsel within Australia and overseas, you’ll manage a portfolio of major litigation matters.
The cases you will be working on involve an assortment of different legal issues, covering areas such as consumer law, mass torts and negligence, public nuisance, and defamation, amongst others.
About You
We are looking to speak with senior litigators with expertise in complex corporate & commercial litigation, ideally with 8–15+ years’ PAE gained at a top-tier or leading national, or in-house equivalent.
Prior exposure to one or more of the following will be highly regarded (but not essential):
Class action litigation
Working with or within a litigation funder
International disputes (particularly within US or UK)
This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with a possibility of extension, ideally on a full-time basis, although our client is open to considering 0.8FTE for the right candidate.
