Lawyer, Associate or Senior Associate – Project Finance

We are working with a leading national firm to secure a high-calibre Banking & Finance Lawyer to join their fast-growing Project Finance practice. The firm is well known in the legal market for their depth of knowledge and experience, and their significant client base, including major financial institutions, large organisations, private lenders and government agencies. 

This is an opportunity to advise on the biggest and most interesting transactions in Australia across a wide range of debt financing and projects with a key focus within the energy, resources, infrastructure & projects sectors.

Working alongside a truly exceptional Partner from an international top-tier background, you will play a critical role in helping to advise the firm’s new and established client base in relation to an assortment of significant domestic and international cross-border transactions and can expect to be involved in the following types of work:

• Complex project financing structuring

• Real estate finance

• Lending, securities & DCM

• Distressed debt

• Restructuring & insolvency

• Private company acquisitions and JV matters

• Commodity pre-payment/offtake

Who we are looking for:

We are interested in speaking with technically strong and driven lawyers with solid academics and at least 1-2+ years’ PAE gained within a specialised B&F practice, and lawyers with a strong transactional background who are looking to specialise in project finance.

This role provides a variety of complex and interesting work, and we are seeking candidates who are adaptable in their approach to work and are keen to tackle different and bespoke issues. You will enjoy building strong relationships and the opportunity to be involved in direct client engagement.
