Defendant Insurance Lawyer

We are partnering exclusively with a growing litigation and insurance boutique firm, led by two highly regarded Partners with deep relationships across government, healthcare, and insurance sectors. As part of their strategic growth, they’re seeking a talented Senior Associate or Special Counsel with defendant insurance experience to join the team in a key leadership role.

About the role:

Hit the ground running, advising on a broad range of commercial and insurance matters, with a strong focus on professional negligence (health, engineering, and other professional services) and workers’ compensation. You will also work across complex building, construction, engineering disputes, regulatory compliance, and public liability.

Taking a hands-on, client-focused approach, you will build trusted relationships while managing all aspects of litigation, from drafting legal documents and preparing court materials to briefing Counsel, attending mediations and hearings, and supporting matters through to trial.

Who we’re looking for:

Senior Associates or Special Counsel with 5+ years’ PAE in defendant insurance litigation, ideally across workers’ compensation and/or medical negligence. You’ll have a genuine desire to step into a leadership role and progress towards partnership in the medium term. The ideal candidate is a team player who values mentorship, collaboration, and delivering commercial results to a loyal, sophisticated client base.
